Happy Thanksgiving!

"We had Thanksgiving at Cocoa Beach in Mecup's condo! The breeze was very nice, and the ocean sounded very pretty! I had never seen the beach before! Mommy and Daddy dressed me up like an Indian Princess! It was a little too warm out that day though, so I couldn't keep my outfit on as long as Mommy would have liked. It's a good thing too... as soon as Mommy took it off, I got sick. I had a fever, and I was vomitting, and my nose was runny. :( Grandma snuck me a little stuffing, though, and Mommy shared a little of her mashed potatoes. I am very thankful for my family. I just wish my Nana and my Grandpa could have been there too!"

Six Months Old!!

Chloe had her 6 month doctor's appointment yesterday!! She weighed in at 15 pounds 9 ounces, and was 25 1/2 inches long!! She is still 50 percentile for her weight, but is now at 50 percentile for her height as well. Looks like either she had a weight spurt, and height will catch up again, or she is going to even out and be short to normal height like her Mommy and Daddy. The doctor said she is doing fabulous, and is well ahead on all her milestones. Her next appointment is at 9 months, and Dr. Anne said Chloe is so far ahead, she expects her to be walking by then!! She did get 3 more shots (2 vaccines and a flu shot!). The nurse that usually does them was on vacation, and the guy that did them instead was very slow. Poor Chloe laid there while we held her down, and she screamed and screamed. Daddy was very traumatized, and cried more than Chloe did. :(

Chloe finds herself in the Mirror!

On November 5, we were giving Chloe her nightly bath, and she looked over in the mirror, as she does every night, and saw herself. But this time, she REALLY saw herself. She had a great time playing with "Chloe in the Mirror".

Chloe's first word!!

On November 7, God blessed me with the most beautiful sound. Chloe said her first word. "Mommy". She said it twice that day, and again on Monday. She knows who we are, because she crawls to us by name, so I know she knows what she is saying!! I was so excited!! Her Daddy heard it to, so for those of you who think I am crazy, ask him :)

Happy Halloween!

So in my efforts to catch up on some time, since my last post on my other site was 2 months ago, here is the Halloween blog. :) Chloe dressed up as a lady bug! (thank you Nanee!) and was absolutely adorable!! She was a little camera shy that day though, so we didnt get any good pics of her actually looking AT the camera! Here is her story:

"We carved a pumpkin, and I took some pictures in my Halloween outfit. We played all day, and got the candy ready to give out! Mommy was so excited! On Halloween night, I was a lady bug! The costume was warm and soft, and everyone thought I was so cute! I sat outside and passed out candy with Mommy, Daddy, Bamp, Daisy, and Matty. Then I got to eat a lollipop! It was YUMMY!"

Chloe's first Road Trip!!

We went to North Carolina this week, November 11 - 15, to see some foliage, enjoy the beautiful weather, and most of all to see my cousin, Jess and her hubby-to-be, Jeff. We left Sunday night after I got off work, and drove 8 hours straight through! Chloe was perfect (as usual!) and slept the whole way!! We arrived around 5 am, took a nap, and spent the day exploring! Tuesday we went up to Blowing Rock (for those of you who don't know, that is Chris and my favorite place on Earth!). Chloe went on her first SWING and SLIDE!! Of course, Daisy had to try out the slide, too!! Wednesday we went for a hike at Lake Norman State Park. It was so gorgeous up there, and the foliage was incredible. Of course, Jess and Jeff got to meet Chloe for the first time, and experience the fun of feeding and bathing her! We had such a great time. We arrived home safely tonight, after about 9.5 hours in the car. Through the whole trip, Chloe was awesome, and we only had to endure about 1 hour of fussing total!! I was truly amazed at how wonderful she was!!

New Blog Website!

Hello all you Chloe fans! Sorry for the delay in the blog, but as you can see, we are starting anew. The Mac is under the weather, so I will be working to update the blog here (which may actually be easier). I have some catching up to do, so be patient! I think we may have to work backwards a little, but we will get there!!
